In an effort to encourage high school students to consider a career in the home improvement industry, NARI Greater Cleveland has started a Mentorship Program in conjunction with the NARI Cares community outreach program. The idea of this program is to help build business relationships with those considering going into the trades with current home improvement businesses.
NARI contacted area vocational schools to participate in this year's NARI Home Improvement Show, to give students an opportunity to demonstrate their creativity and workworking skills by building custom birdhouses. Over 20 custom birdhouses, designed and built by students at Polaris Career Center and Medina County Career Center will be on display and raffled off at the show. Funds raised by the raffle will benefit the Cleveland Animal Protective League, who will also be on-site with their mobile adoption unit. Those attending the show can purchase raffle tickets at a cost of one for $5; or three for $10 at the APL Adopt-A-Pet exhibit.
NOTE: Winning raffle tickets will be drawn at 4pm Sunday, January 22nd. Winners may pick up their birdhouse at the I-X Center Sunday, January 22nd until 6pm, or Monday, January 23rd from 9am - 12noon. Any birdhouse not picked up by noon Monday, January 23rd will be taken to the Cleveland APL for pick-up. NARI Greater Cleveland, Polaris Career Center, Medina County Career Center and/or the Cleveland Animal Protective League will not be responsible for any lost or damaged birdhouses. NO CASH VALUE
